Mediterranean Panoramic: Mandarin Oriental Opens Bodrum Establishment

Lush, olive trees provide a contrast to the clear waters in this new resort destination.

The new Mandarin Oriental Bodrum, designed by Istanbul architectural firm Arup, blends nature with modern amenities while showcasing jaw-dropping, panoramic views of the Mediterranean.

The concept of the new Mediterranean resort is simple: blend traditional Bodrum architecture while providing a glimpse into the future. Arup hollowed our spacious, minimalistic rooms with all glass doors; specifically designed to ensure natural air and light enters filter through the suites.

Amongst the resort's field of infinity edged pools are rooftop pools that wrap around a central natural wood deck. Standing on top provides spanning views of the Aegean Sea that are striking enough to fill up any instagram profile.

The resort will boast ten restaurants and bars offering a selection of remarkable gastronomic experiences complemented by spectacular sea views, inspiring outdoor seating and dynamic design. Assaggio is the signature Italian restaurant, while Asian Grill Specialty Restaurant offers delectable flavors of contemporary Asian cuisine. Waterfront Olive Garden serving Turkish cuisine provides a one of a kind al fresco dining experience under a grove of olive trees. The tranquil Terrace Lounge and Mandarin Cake Shop provide the perfect setting to savor afternoon tea with homemade gourmet treats. Complementing the variety and experience, stylish Mavi Beach Club & Bar and M2 offers flavorful snacks, tapas, mezzes and cocktails.

The quintessential Mediterranean destination, Bodrum welcomes travelers from the four corners of the world to its glorious golden shores. While the deep blue waters of the Mediterranean and Aegean play host to countless sailing boats, divers and swimmers, visitors to Bodrum’s Castle’s unique Museum of Underwater Archaeology can voyage to the very depths of Homer’s “wine dark sea”. Back on dry land, you can feel the powdery sand of the beaches beneath your feet, enjoy a leisurely round of golf, explore the ancient ruins of the peninsula, or go horseback riding through the verdant forests. As day turns to night, Bodrum offers an abundance of delicious produce to entice the most discerning epicurean, from the vegetables, herbs and fruits harvested on its fertile terrain, to the fresh fish and seafood available from its pristine seas.
