Joseph Walsh is a one of a kind self taught designer. The Irish born designer expresses his passion and imagination through his work ethic and commitment to exploring the depth and potential of wood as structure, form, material, technology and ecology. It’s part of Formations collection which consists of several similarly designed furniture pieces.

The design is derived from his ambition to collaborate with the environment and create innovative products that maintain the grandiose in nature. This particular piece exudes all the qualities of wood; flexibility, strength and unparalleled texture. Walsh opted to strip the wood down into thin layers, maximizing its natural elasticity. A free flowing design exempt of rigid edges ensured that each of the aforementioned merits was personified. The final design invites the user into an oasis of nature; indoors.
