Dama zAmya Villa

If the Jetsons had a love child with the Swiss Family Robinson clan, the ‘Dama zAmya’ house in Phuket would be the result.

The custom-built, luxury eco-villa is located on a secluded hillside above the village of Baan Para and was named Dama zAmya, meaning “a peaceful retreat” in Sanskrit. The tropical contemporary, multi-level, four bedroom abode crafted by Design Unit, who specializes in sustainable tropical architecture, is on a whole different level. Literally. The cement façade gives way to a planked, recycled wood patio deck (which was rescued from a 40 year old house nearby) that recedes into a gorgeous, inky infinity pool. Oh – and did we mention the grassy rooftop patio that’s perfect for a little full-contact croquet? From top to bottom this place blows our mind.
