KNSTRCT Travel #Instagame Reveal

Last week we transformed KNSTRCT's instagram into a game of guess-where when we kicked off our five-day travel #instagame! If you missed all the action, let us take a moment to catch you up on last week's shenanigans. We teamed up with our friends over at Citi and American Airlines to turn our insta-feed into a digital board game! The game was designed to illustrate unexpected experiences within our travels in other words, photographs that capture a popular location with an unconventional perspective.

Each of the five days featured a new photograph, some from our personal travel photo bank and others from our contributors' travels. Then we asked our insta-friends to guess the destination of the images, which turned into a war of guesses by some of our fiercest jet-setting readers. Folks even had the chance to be featured on KNSTRCT by hashtagging their own travel photos with #aapassport, some of which are published in this post!

Thank you to Citi, American Airlines and all the design wildlings who enjoyed playing along. Until next time.

Ribbon Chapel by Hiroshi Nakamura & NAP Co., Ltd.

Day #1 Answer: Hiroshima, Japan // Ribbon Chapel by Hiroshi Nakamura & NAP Co., Ltd.  // Photography by Yasuhiro Sakuda // First to guess this destination on instagram was @keelygeitner.

Snapshot: This wedding chapel is located on the grounds of a resort hotel overlooking the Inland Sea of Japan. The chapel is configured as a double spiral formed by two stairways. Starting from different locations, the stairways slowly spiral upward to become one—a device symbolic of the bride and groom’s path of marriage and formal union as one. In fact, it is conjectured the bride and groom will actually ascend the separate spiral stairways to meet at the top, embrace, and receive the blessings of those in attendance watching from the garden.
